A Lost Land
by Ayush Bahl
To those
gushing waters emptying into the sea,
Cutting
a path between the bunch of those coniferous trees.
As the
moon's light illuminates the land,
Just a
touch of nature's hand.
Where
those mountains stand tall and calm,
As they
brave the winds which mean no harm.
As the
insects scurry in the sand,
Just a
touch of Nature's hand.
O!
Search the winds, search the seas,
For this
land's exotic trees.
Which
heaven, what hell,
Will I
find this land's welcome bell.
Lost,
forgotten amongst the bones,
Forming
a dream in our head's dome.
This
dream, just a fleeting thought,
Wiped
away by human wrath.
While we
mortals wage wars amongst ourselves,
We have
forgotten where peace delves.
Nature
has supported us till date,
But only
one of us can survive at this rate.
My
brothers and sisters, open your eyes,
Rid
yourself of these foul lies.
Help us
pacify mother Nature's wrath,
Or find
the very prize we never sought.
We take
the step of sowing our seeds,
And be
ready to stand for what we reap.
